City Advice Cost of Living Event

City Advice is going to be holding a few pop up events addressing the cost of living crisis our clients and users are facing. They will be talking about income maximisation, the help available from central Govt, what help the City of London can provide, what fuel and water companies can do, along with  other useful information.

They will have advisers, including specialist debt advisers,  available on the day to speak to people .

The first of these events is on Golden Lane Estate on 13th Sept from 10.30-12.30.

 

 

Digital Champions at Age UK East London

Getting our heads around our devices can feel really overwhelming at times. The Digital Champions project at Age UK East London is designed to match people up with someone who can meet with them regularly and help them to feel more digitally confident. If you’re interested in the project, you can let Ruby or Gow know you’d like to be referred. Please note the project is for the over 50s age group.

 

Support with the Cost of Living

We are all feeling worried about the increases to the cost of living this year. The City of London Corporation is keeping an eye on how we can all access support. Check out their informative pages on getting help with the cost of living here. The page will continue to involve as more becomes available to City residents, so be sure to check on it regularly!

 

Make & Meet – Summer Prospectus

An inclusive, creative and supportive learning environment, focused on reducing  loneliness and isolation. The Peter Bedford Make & Meet space bring people together through free courses, activities and events. Everyone is welcome to the PBHA community. We support people to recover, progress and explore their potential. Open to City of London, Hackney, Newham, Islington and Tower Hamlets residents aged 18+, who are at risk of feeling lonely and isolated from society.
